And now, we’re expanding that mission to include empowering families even before the journey begins. We’re here to ensure everyone has access to the resources they need for a healthy preconception phase, postpartum recovery, and the mental and physical wellness required for a strong start to parenthood.

Postpartum Has A Voice - Order Now
In Postpartum Has A Voice, postpartum nurse advocate TaJonda Bradley shines a light on the often-overlooked experiences of Black women during the postpartum journey. Through heartfelt interviews with women from diverse backgrounds, Bradley compiles a powerful collection of stories that reveal the unique struggles and triumphs faced by these mothers as they navigate the challenges of postpartum life, as well as ways families and advocates can support them.

Reflecting on 2024: Building Stronger Communities
In 2024, MommyTu Postpartum +Beyond remained steadfast in our mission to ensure "No More Lonely Postpartum Journeys" and to promote "Healthy & Supported Postpartum Recoveries." Our key accomplishments included:
Collaborative Partnerships: We partnered with organizations like Postpartum Peace of Mind and Wolomi to enhance access to timely and quality postpartum support.
Annual Gala Success: Our Annual 'A Stronger Start Gala' saw a 25% increase in attendance, raising vital funds to support our programs and services.
Community Engagement: We launched 'Connected Conversations,' an in-person podcast experience fostering supportive discussions around maternal health and wellness.
Consistent Support Groups: We provided monthly connection groups and events, promoting mental health and well-being within our community.
Family Support Initiatives: We assisted local families by providing essential items and fulfilling holiday wishes, ensuring they felt supported during the postpartum period.
Workplace Advocacy: We engaged with local organizations and businesses to advocate for 'postpartum-friendly' work cultures, emphasizing the importance of supporting new parents in the workplace.
Looking Ahead: Empowering Families, Enhancing Lives in 2025
As we move into 2025, our commitment to supporting families from preconception through early parenthood remains unwavering. Our goals for the year include:
Community Engagement and Support
Workshops and Events: Host at least 4 workshops focusing on postpartum recovery, mental health, and parenting, aiming to reach over 200 attendees.
In-Person Connection Groups: Facilitate 6–8 groups providing safe spaces for mothers to connect, share experiences, and support one another.
Virtual Support Groups: Launch and maintain at least 2 virtual support groups per month, ensuring accessible support for all mothers.
Annual Gala and Fundraising
3rd Annual 'A Stronger Start Gala': Aim to increase attendance by 20% and raise a minimum of $20,000 to support our programs and services.
Sponsorship and Partnerships: Secure at least 5 new sponsors and partners to bolster our mission and events.
Family Sponsorship and Support
Support for Families in Need: Sponsor a minimum of 10 families, providing essential resources and services during the postpartum period.
Collaborative Partnerships: Establish partnerships with local organizations to expand resources and support for sponsored families.
Grant Funding
Research and Applications: Identify and apply for grants to support our programs and services, with a focus on addressing maternal health disparities and supporting postpartum families in need.
Organizational Growth and Development
Volunteer Program: Establish a robust volunteer program, recruiting and training at least 10 volunteers to support our events and initiatives.
